This barley-based shochu is a refined alternative to whisky. After 6 years of maturing in white oak barrels, it acquires a phenomenally rich aroma of fruit, paired with caramel and wood. In the long, soft aftertaste, there are impressions of wheat.<\/p>\n

The bottle says \u201cliqueur\u201d because shochu by definition may contain 25% to 37%. This falls outside of this and is therefore cataloged under a general liqueur term.<\/p>\n
