The Yamato distillery is originally a Shochu brewery that had shows a lot of passion for whiskey. They have matured this barley shochu in white oak barrels for the typical whisky aromas to emerge.
Partly thanks to the government of Japan, it is allowed to bear the name whiskey. 2 strong iconic national drinks that have joined forces.
