Shiso is a plant that belongs to the mint family. It has a special, sharp smell and a fine taste resembling basil.
A commonly used name is Japanese basil.
Infused with the umeshu this gives a great new drink that softens the taste of the umeshu and gives the whole a botanical touch. Very accessible by this soft herbalness.
