This barley-based shochu is a refined alternative to whisky. After 6 years of maturing in white oak barrels, it obtains a phenomenally rich aroma of fruit, paired with caramel and wood. Wheat impressions can be seen in the long soft afterdrink.
On the bottle it reads "liqueur" because shochu by definition may contain 25% to 37%. This falls outside this and is therefore catalogued under a general liqueur term.
